ถึง jamesgriffin : Depends on whether you're trying to depict authentic discipline or not, there are some great videos of bare bottom canings, but this one is supposed to depict real life discipline back in the day, and while bare bottom did happen, it was comparatively rare and extremely rare when it was Mf.

I found this very nostalgic because it reminded me of my own schooldays in the 1980s. Although, the most any girl ever received in one day at my school was six of the best with the cane. This was always given over the skirt, as teachers weren't allowed to flip or remove the skirts. And the girls never had to count out the strokes, as far as I know. But some schools were stricter, and the system allowed for individual teachers to be laws unto themselves. Essentially a great video. For me though, the two things that let it down are the domestic background for what's supposed to be a school punishment and the sound of the cane during the 'run-up' strokes which sound like the girl has stuffed something down her knickers to protect her bottom. More Billy Bunter than 'If'.

The problem of caning over a skirt well illustrated at 3:15, in some schools girls were expected to grab the seams of their skirts and pull them it tight across their backsides for the plimsoll or cane.
