It is easily forgotten the level of censorship we had in the UK up till the mid 1970`s. Even shops selling contact magazines were regularly raided by the constabulary and mainstream films were heavily censored by the British Board of Film Sensors....Who in reality were a bunch of narrow minded do gooders who had the power to decide what the audience could and could not watch at the cinema !
